MIID Joins World Environment Day

On the 5. of June, MIID participated in World Environment Day activities at different locations in Myanmar. Executive Director Joern Kristensen attended the national event in Naypyidaw and MIID staff co-organized a local event in Nyaung Shwe at Inle Lake.

Applying our people-centered approach, MIID supports sustainable economic development, recognizing the interconnected nature of natural resources management, environmental conservation, good governance and social protection. Current activities include a project in collaboration with UNDP to strengthen the environmental management of Inle Lake and raise awareness of the environmental condition of the lake.
