MIID and the Forest Department of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC) have renewed the Memorandum of Understanding between the two partners to continue the cooperation on environmental conservation, watershed and lake management, climate change adaptation and resilience.

MIID and MONREC have formed a close partnership since MIID’s foundation in 2013 by cooperating in research and implementing activities, concerning environmental issues and improving the livelihoods of people residing in isolated upland areas of Myanmar.
