This brochure has been created to support the further development of advancing gender equality in Myanmar, with a focus on ethnic groups in Shan State. The brochure contains important recommendations to a range of stakeholders including government officials, village committees and CSOs/NGOs.
This brochure has been developed as part of MIID’s “Pathways to Economic and Political Empowerment for Ethnic Minority Women in South and East Shan State” project, funded by International Development Research Center (IDRC).
